My motivation
GUNDULA TROST
I am a very visual person. Beautiful things and expressive colors fill me with happiness and contentment—it really is that simple. When I become creative and design new things, I want people to feel that their lives are enriched by my products as well. I design objects that people enjoy looking at and using. Functionality is a key element for me; form and function are always intertwined in my creative process. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful.
For a long time, I worked as a freelance interior designer and was able to fully express my passion for design in many wonderful projects. At some point, I felt the need to start a project of my own. Fortunately, I was able to realize this wish a few years ago by taking over and further developing the individual cushion collection of my friend Linda Thiele. It’s a wonderful project with many grateful fans who continually give us positive feedback. That inspires me and my team anew every single day! From the bottom of my heart, I would like to say thank you here.
The history
We, Gundula Trost and Linda Thiele, have been friends since 1977. A friendship born out of shared school and youth years in Hamburg. It connects us.
Professionally, we both took creative paths. Linda Thiele became a textile designer and I studied interior design. Linda has developed and produced the successful collection of wonderful meditation cushions with fine gold prints. She has since retired from the business for health reasons.
In order to continue to offer a selection of your popular products, we have jointly decided to distribute, under the new label "MANDALINDA", the meditation cushions and yoga cushions based on the outstanding designs and diverse colour worlds of my friend Linda Thiele.
